Early Friday morning (3am) I was woken up with bad contractions, an hour & a shower later they were coming steadily at 3 minutes apart! I woke Paul, he got the boys in the van & we dropped them off at Aunt Linda's. When we got to the hospital Paul pulled up front & I ran in as he went to park. I probably looked ridiculous having contractions in the elevator, but made it to the third floor & eventually convinced the nurse I couldn't sign any forms in my condition. She gave me a gown & put the baby's heart rate monitor on by 4.48. She said I was a '6' & I wasn't coping with the pain well, so I said yes to the epidural...turns out the nurse was lying-I was an '8' & she was trying to distract me from the pain. It worked-I pushed Evy out completely at 5.06! It was all so fast. The doctor & my mom both missed the show by about 10 minutes, luckily Paul parked the car & made it up in time!

She's gorgeous & perfect. She looks just like James, but with straight black hair!

Alec keeps calling her "adorable" & he loves her. James is still a bit bewildered about the whole thing!
